Meet Michael

You know those quiet pivots that don’t announce themselves, but somehow make everything feel more whole — the strange little workings of it all? This is one of those.

Michael — partner in this whole ‘biz’, and in just about everything else — is featured in the ‘the other paper’, in a piece that traces a gentle but determined shift in his life. What started, in part, with long walks and watchful days alongside our late dog Vos (who still manages to be a presence, somehow), has grown into something rooted and real: a life as a grower. Vegetables, mushrooms, soil, seasons — the kind of work that asks for patience and gives back in its own time.

He’s good at it. Not in a loud way, but in a steady, capable sense — the kind you can rely on. The kind that follows ideas all the way through, even the slightly improbable ones.

Around here, he’s also part of the ongoing rhythm of The Nature of the Points — shaping and making where needed.

Anyway, the article is out there now, doing its thing. And it feels nice — simple as that — to see this chapter reflected back, in ink, with a lot of care ( thanks Hedda & De Andere Krant).
